Calendar: possibility for a user to leave start/end date undefined

In the Vizlib calendar, as a user you have to define both start and end date in the range mode. It would be very useful if one of them could be left undefined. When only the start date is defined, the calendar would select all dates after the start date. When only the end date is defined, the calendar would select all dates before the end date.
