KPI Designer Text Layer - If Condition

Any reason why this does not work in KPI Text Layer but does work in any other table or text box ?

=if(Brand Like 'QLIK', Verb)

Table is made up of column 1 'Brand', column 2 'Verb' (which is text Verbatim) 

So the above result should show 'End-to-end cloud data integration and data analytics solutions for modern business intelligence'
