Input Form - Mandatory option based on input from other field value

It would be very helpful if you can switch a field to mandatory or not based on what's in another field from the input form itself. So it's not in the data source yet. This open a lot of other possibilities in conditionally showing other fields based on what a uses is putting in previous fields of the form.
