ARGB for Vizlib Gauge Color

I'd like to request that ARGB support be added to the "Arc Color" attribute of a Measure in the Vizlib Activity Gauge. The reason behind this request is that most Qlik color functions output a color in ARGB format, and I would like to use those functions. Specifically, I'm hoping to use the Colormix1 function to color the arc of the gauge based on the achievement level being displayed by the gauge.

This feature request shares similarities with the following:

  • Hi Jeff,

    Hope you are well?

Can you explain the business reason for this feature request?
    - What benefit does it have to the user looking at this visualisation?
    - How it will help your business goals using the visualisation?

Understanding these can help us prioritise it appropriately!

Can I ask you this as it may be what you are looking for? In simple terms, are you looking for a gradient across your Vizlib Activity Gauge bars instead of a solid colour?

    Kind regards,
    Luke T

  • Hi Jeff,

    Thank you for your response!

In the interim, whilst we see how this feature request sits with our future roadmaps (and how much interaction it receives from the community), I can suggest a way to get something like what you are looking for using the KPI designer (Guage)

I have had attached a file for you to see.

    Best regards
    Luke

  • Hi Jeff,

Happy to help! Glad to see that we can provide a workaround. Please do let me know if it works for you, or not?

As I mentioned in the previous message, we will see the response from the community and how this feature request works into our roadmap for next planning session.

    Kind regards,
    Luke

  • Hi there

Owing to a lack of customer validation and/or complexity, we’ve prioritised our delivery and decided not to develop this feature request. However, all feature requests are subject to a continuous review and if anything changes, we will reassess our decision.

    Kind regards

    Luke
