Sheet Menu Plus - "Edit/Duplicate" button will not disappear when publishing an application

I am using the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus 1.3.0 and I want to remove the 'Edit' button when I publish the application (normally this button will change to a 'duplicate' button). But, in the customer's environment, we disabled the security rule that users can create new sheets. So, when we publish an application we do not see a 'Duplicate' button at all.

Thus, when an application is published, we still see the 'Edit' button on our front end. We can hide this button so that the button is not visible anymore. But, this is frustrating while developing the application. Can you please resolve this issue by just following normal Qlik behaviour (when publishing an application; no Duplicate or Edit button).

Thank you in advance!

  •  This would indeed be a really welcome addition!

  • Hi Denny,

Please can you tell us where the setting is in Qlik Sense (and Qlik Cloud/SaaS if you are using it there as well?) so we can locate it and see if it is possible to achieve.

As this is a new feature to the Sheet Menu Plus, we will have to investigate if it is possible to achieve.

Please understand that we have other priorities at the same time so the turnaround of this feature won't be taken on right away. In the mean time, please can you provide the information I have requested as well as any more information that can lead to the success of this Feature.

  • Hi Denny,

The reason that you see EDIT on a published application is either because of my user rights within the QMC or it is because you are the one who published the application to a public stream.

This is the current behaviour of Qlik and you can test this by publishing a sheet without the Sheet Menu Plus in it. For you, it will say EDIT, whilst for a normal user it will say Duplicate.
This was confirmed by testing alongside our Dev and Technical Writer who don't have the same rights as me and also didn’t publish the sheet.

    I hope this helps.
I am discontinuing the ticket as it is a function of Qlik that we simply read from. We present what Qlik gives to us.

  • Hi Denny,

right, this was missing information or it was lost in the thread.

So when you remove Duplicate from published sheets, we present Edit instead?
Can you share the settings that you use I will pass that on to the dev.

Good that there is a workaround.
