Dynamic Event Labels in Gantt Chart

The event bar labels within the Vizlib Gantt chart display on the left side of the event bar. But when zooming in towards the right side of the event bar, the event bar label gets hidden behind the dimensions column on the left side of the gantt chart. This request is to have the even bar labels dynamically positioned on the event bar to adjust for the zoom level.  Please see image attached.

  • I do like the idea of dynamically adjusting to the dimension title when scrolled to right.

  • Hi Eric,

Thank you for this feature request.

I Understand what this request is about pretty well.
I will see what the vizlib user base thinks of it, but in the meantime, I will see if this is even possible to achieve with our current libraries.
An internal ticket has been created so we can (internally) discuss it.

  • This would be a huge progress from our current Gantt chart. It would be awesome to align the text as well so that it dynamically places the label for users readability.

  • This would be a fantastic feature and our users will be ecstatic to know this is possibly in the works.

  • This affects overall usability of the tool. Would be a great help.

  • Hi Eric,

Due to the great response from this, we will look at a way of doing it.

I still need to go through the discovery phase with the development team but we will inform you once we begin starting this task/when we release it.

Please bare-in-mind that we are nearing the end of some larger projects so I cannot give you an estimation of when this will begin or be completed.
