VizLib Table - Allow to group columns in header or allow to freeze panes in row
The main request is: allow to group columns, making it look wise a pivot table but with all-powerfulness of a table.
An alternative, that is not perfect but is an acceptable workaround and it’s probably much easier to implement is: allow to freeze panes in row x (like we can in Excel).
Having this, we can setup a table where first 2 rows are used as a “fake” header and then freeze 2nd row and it looks like an header.
please find attached usercase.
This is a VizLib Table with full custom formatting on font colour, font background and css styling, row by row.
Because it's not possible to group columns in a straight table, is not possible to use real header. So, in this table, rows 1 and 2 (shaded dark blue and light blue) does the workaround but because are fake header. The only problem is that when scrolling, we lose from screen that first 2 rows. A “freeze at row x” option it would solve the problem.

Pivot Table is not an option because formatting options are limited (html can’t be used because export to Excel doesn’t work – goes with the tags!), width of column can’t be controlled individually, performance is worst than straight table, etc.
Business considers this table critical factor of success.
