Provide capability to add self created extensions on the Sheet Menu Plus

Hi Team,


We have created an extension which logs out user upon clicking. This should be available on each and every page. We are looking to add this feature on the navigation menu plus top ribbon bar.

    Please can you explain the reasoning to have this extension in the top bar instead of using the side menu?

    For me to understand the priority and associate value towards this feature along with taking into consideration the other feature requests we have, I would for you to provide me reasoning for why the current feature(s)/function(s) don't work for you.

    Thank you for the reply. 

    I can't propose anything based on a timeframe for this to be completed. However, I have added a ticket to the backlog for the sheet menu plus extension.
    We will look at how to best include this in the upcoming releases and how it aligns with the current product and roadmap. 

    I may be in contact with you again to understand some more requirements, or, anything about this tool you are using. 
    Can I ask if you are using API requests to log a user out or is this some other method?

    The custom extension you have provided, is this to log the user out of Qlik?
    If this is true, we could add this as an action to Vizlib. We have done some investigation into the code and we see that the code is very simple.

    If you can provide some information on this ticket, then you can use a vizlib action within the SM+ instead of supporting 3rd party extensions which is something we do not do.
    If you would like to have a call about this then we can do this.

    Yes! This is underway and should be released in the next release of the Sheet Menu Plus.

  • Hi Deloitte,

    ​I'm glad the feature is working as expected. Regarding this additional requirement, this is not yet achievable. As a potential workaround, may I suggest you use the top menu and add a sheet (with no sheet attached to it) and have the action Logout assigned to this.

    as a topic for further discussion, using the elements that we have now, would it be a suitable idea to have the logout action included in the top bar text? Making it able to perform actions when you click on it? (like this mockup example below)
