Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus - Expanded Group Menu by default

It would be great if the group menu would be already shown expanded if one of the child items is the current sheet. It´s a feature that every website has if it has a side navigation menu. We´re also using the Vizlib Sheet Menu as a navigation menu and the current sheet should be shown by default even if it´s a child item of a group.

Hi Katja,

Thanks for sending us this feature request in order to improve our products, this is to acknowledge that we have correctly received it and sent it to our Product Manager that will review it as soon as possible. It is is up to them to decide if this will be included in the product roadmap or not. Once your request will have been reviewed they will provide you with more information on the next steps.

Please note that feature request tickets might have longer response and processing times than usual incident tickets, so please expect some delays in getting feedback.

Hi Katja,

Okay, I believe I understand this requirement.

You want an expanded group that REMAINS OPEN when changing between sheets.

In the example in my video attached to this, I am showing you that you can already have this functionality on the side menu.

This is not available yet for the Top menu items.

So to confirm that the Top Menu is the section you always want to be expanded when changing sheets?

NOTE: In the video, I have the SM+ setup as a master item. This is the only way to have the groups expanded across sheets and that will remain true for the Top Menu (again, if this is what you are specifying)

I cannot commit to a definite timeframe for implementing this feature. Our roadmap is structured, and I need to assess this feature alongside other items in our product backlog.

So that Sheet Menu Plus object you have created needs to be a master item (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/May2023/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Visualizations/create-master-visualization.htm).
