In the property panel, the Dimensions menu is where you define your filter field, which can be a single dimension, a drilldown or a master item dimension. In this example the values in the Clothing table are filtered against CategoryName, and you select, deselect and display them in the Sales YTD Mini Charts (Figure 1). You can find an example filter setup in our guide here.

Filter Values
In Filter Values (Figure 3) you can choose to hide or show dimension, and also make them subject to a condition by entering an expression in Conditional Show exp. for Values. If the condition value is true, the value will be displayed.
Figure 3: Filter Values
You can also select to display a Frequency Count for the dimension (Figure 4), choosing from the Absolute value, Percent or Relative value. Figure 5 shows the frequency count as a Percent with 8 Categories representing 12.5% each of the available values.

Measure
Enabling the Measure settings (Figure 6) allows you to add a measure to the filter. You can add a measure expression, and this example uses =sum([Gross Profit])/sum(Sales). You can also select a method of Measure Formatting and Format Pattern.

Indicators
The Indicators settings allow you to display an indicator next to the measure (Figure 7), and also customize the indicator shown when the measure is compared to a pre-defined threshold. You can enter the value in Indicator Threshold (this example sets the threshold at =20/100 or 0.2).
Figure 7: Indicators
The icon and color indicators (Figure 8) can now be set, and they are displayed according to the result of comparing the measure value to the threshold (Greater than, Less than, Equal than). You can choose to show or hide each icon, and also set the Icon Position.

Markers
Markers can be enabled to display a symbol beside filter values (Figure 9). You can choose from 2 Representations - Icon or Image. You can also customize the Symbol Size and Symbol Opacity, and choose to Show Dimension Values (when Disabled, only the icon or image will be displayed).
Figure 9: Markers
If you choose Image as a representation, enter the image location and any further settings in Image expression. Figure 10 shows an example of filter values which uses images of flags.
