Note: All Climber Extensions (including what was previously called Climber P&L) have been acquired by Vizlib in April 2019 and are now part of our value-added product portfolio for Qlik Sense.
The finance department has specific needs around formatting and functionality for tables which can be very different from other types of analysis. If you have tried to create a Profit & Loss table or a Balance Sheet within Qlik Sense you will have experienced the limitations of standard analytic tables. With Vizlib Finance Report (P&L), we have created a table targeted specifically to the needs of a finance department.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
You can easily create financial tables and make them look just the way the CFO wants. To get started quickly with Vizlib Finance Report, you can watch our tutorial here.
Note on Application Development: Building a P&L application does require a solid Qlik developer background as well as an understanding of finance and P&L setup. Do not attempt to build an app with Vizlib Finance Report if you do not have those skills. Vizlib Finance Report includes a template, and while it does not completely automate the build process it should significantly speed up the pace of development.
Vizlib Finance Report also lets you take reporting to the next level by allowing users to add live comments to the data from within the financial report. The setup is completely secure and it is possible to set up multiple levels of reporting. For example, a department can comment on their data, the regional manager can add their view and the CEO can see the whole picture. Comments are added in real time, with no reloads or waiting required to see the comments.
Note on Comments: Comments require a separate back-end installation and as of version 2.3.0 this is not available for trial. Please contact email@example.com with any questions and to request a demonstration.
