It's possible to style the rows from the property panel (Row Styles). By default, there are 4 styles but more (up to 99) can be added as needed. Every style has a number , eg. Regular (0), SubTotal(1). This number relates to the row style number in the excel file (see the section about the excel template)
The following options are available
Stripes are turned on/off in the property panel under Appearence / Appearence / Default background: Stripes or Fixed. Once turned on it will make all rows (including expanded rows) striped. Similarly turning stripes off with this setting will turn all settings for striped rows off. See more details below on how to select what rows should be striped.
Once activated the user can change color for odd and even rows as well as the color of the text. Colors can be selected by either the color picker or as an expression that returns a color such as “=Green()“ or “=RGB(125,125,125) or even a hex color code like in the example below.
Expanded rows and Stripes
Stripes in expanded rows can be turned off/on in the Appearance tab. This allows striped normal rows and a fixed color on expanded rows. Also different colors can be set on the stripes in order to create a different striped pattern for expanded rows.
Row Styles and Stripes
There is a setting in the Row Styles menu where it is possible to select between using the preset background or use the striped background setting. By default a couple of Row Styles are already in place.
When enabling striped rows in the Appearence tab, all RowStyles will get the striped setting. This can be turned off/on by the user. Each Row Style color will always override the stripe colors when the color is set to fixed.
Measure colors and Stripes
A color expression in the Data / Measures will always override a stripe setting. For example the expression '=Red()' in the background color expression of a measure will lead to that color being used regardless of any Striped settings.
