Vizlib Sheet Menu Properties - Side Menu

The Side Menu settings help you configure a navigation panel which pops up at the side of the sheet when you press the button (Figure 1).

You can add Elements to construct your side menu, choosing from Sheets, Text, Groups, Master Items and Lines. There's a set up wizard you can use to add and manage items in the side menu (Figure 2).

Wizard and Elements


When you enable Side Menu with the toggle (Figure 3), you'll see the Menu Wizard button which opens the wizard. You'll also see a selection of Elements - you can choose from Sheet, Text, Group, Master Item and Line

The Elements settings you display in Side Menu vary according to the element you are adding. If you need to add more than one, simply click the Add Element button. Side menu elements contain two sets of shared settings which are the same for each element type - Enable Tooltip and Visibility

Enable Tooltip


Enable Tooltip (Figure 4) settings are available for Sheet, Text and Group elements, and let you enter Tooltip Text, set a Font Color, Font Size, Font Style, Font Family, Background Color and Opacity

Visibility


Visibility settings can be used with all element types. You can set the element to Always Show or enable a Conditional Show, where you enter a conditional expression and display the element only when the condition is met  (Figure 5).

Sheet


When you select a Sheet element (Figure 6), you'll be able to enter an element Name, set the distance from the Top Margin, and choose a particular sheet from the <Select a value> dropdown. You can also display an Icon, selecting one from the pre-loaded list or entering an expression, and choose the icon Position

After the controls for Enable Tooltip and Visibility, there are Actions settings (Figure 7) to integrate with Vizlib Actions. There are settings for Actions and Sheet Exit Actions

When you click Add Action (Figure 8) you'll open the action settings, where you can select an action from the Pick Action dropdown, and add a Field and Field Value

Text


When you select a Text element (Figure 9), you'll be able to enter an element Name and set the distance from the Top Margin. You can also display an Icon, selecting one from the pre-loaded list or entering an expression, and choose the icon Position. Text elements also have settings for Enable Tooltip and Visibility.

Group 


Group elements (Figure 10), you'll be able to enter an element Name and set the distance from the Top Margin. You can also display an Icon, selecting one from the pre-loaded list or entering an expression, and choose the icon Position.

As well as settings for Enable Tooltip and Visibility, there are Child Element(s) settings (Figure 11) where you can integrate child elements by using the Wizard or the Add Element buttons.

Master Item


If you select a Master Item element (Figure 12), you'll be able to enter a Name, set the Master Item Height and set the distance from the Top Margin. To select the master item, choose an option from the Vizlib Master Item dropdown. Vizlib Sheet Menu supports master items created from Vizlib Filter, Vizlib Calendar, Vizlib KPI, Vizlib Advanced Text Object, Vizlib Button, Vizlib Switch and Vizlib Toolbar objects. Master items also have  Visibility settings.

You can create a master item, add it to the master items list, then add it using the setup wizard, or dragging it from the Master items menu in the Qlik Sense hub. To find out more about working with master items in Qlik Sense, click here

Line


Line elements (Figure 13) let you enter a Name and set the distance from the Top Margin. Lines also have  Visibility settings.
