Vizlib Input Form Guides - Layout Wizard

Once a form is created, you may find you want to change the presentation, adding new features and fields, arranging the data input in a particular order, or applying a branded color scheme. With the Vizlib Input Form Layout Wizard you can make any changes you need to help improve the appearance of the form and the quality of the data you collect.

Working with Input Fields

Opening the Input Fields menu on the right-hand panel displays the options Layout Wizard and Add Field (Figure 1).

Click on the Layout Wizard Icon to open the wizard form (Figure 2).  The fields currently displayed in the form will be on the right, and available fields are in the Fields list.

  1. If there's an item you need to use in the Fields list, you can drag and drop it into the input form.
  2. If you need to add a new field, you can select a data type from the Add Field dropdown.
  3. To move a field to a different part of the input form, you can drag and drop it to the location you need. The cursor location is indicated by the blue bar on the left to help you get it right.

If you need to add a field without using the layout wizard, you can use the Add Field button in the Input Fields menu. You can find an example of using Add Field in the article on Options.

  2. Click on the Add Group button, drag and drop the cursor to the location you want and then drag the fields into the group panel to create the group.
  3. Click on the Add Divider button, drag and drop the object
  4. You can click on the arrow beside the Group icon to hide or display a group. The group will be hidden when the form is opened, but the user can display the group by clicking the arrow.
