Role permissions to set the export type

You must have a Designer role to set the export type in Qlik Sense and Qlik SaaS. Users cannot change how their data are exported when clicking on the 'Export type for icon'.

Limitations 

Qlik does not allow Third-party extensions to be exported to images and PDF; please read the Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS article for more details. 

Vizlib customized exports are available in some extensions, but the native image export functionality of Qlik Sense is incompatible with Qlik SaaS extensions. This limitation also affects the ability to use Stories in SaaS since they use the same functionality.

Please note:  Vizlib extensions (Library, Gantt, Finance, Collaboration) support the Qlik native export to Excel.

Quick Export (Excel icon) 

1. Click on the Excel icon to create the file for download.
2. Open the downloaded file from the folder or your browser. 

Context menu options

1. Click on the context menu (...) icon that displays when you mouse over your pivot table. *The Show details option is visible under Appearance. From the options, click Download.
2. If you select Image or PDF, the options include download and print.
3. If you select Data, the message 'Download the data from this visualization as an XLSX file' displays. Click Download.
4. View the exported file from your browser or open it from the file's location.
