Exporting is key for many businesses, and at Vizlib, we know this. We provide five (5) simple but crucial exporting methods.

Export Actions
Export Data
Export Data allows you, the developer, to define specific Dimensions and Measures to be exported. You can also choose to make these dynamic by using Variables.
This data must be within the Qlik App you are developing within. You cannot reference other data from another App using this method.

Dimension Fields
- The Dimensions you want to export within the file. These need to be separated via a 'pipe' [ | ].
- The expected result can look like, ='Country|State|Product', or if you have special characters within the field names, ='[Grouped Countries]|[#Ranked States]|[Branded Products]'.
Measure Expressions
- The Measures you want to export within the file. These need to be separated via a 'pipe' [ | ].
- The expected result can look like, ='Sum(Sales)|Avg(Margin)' or if you have special characters within the field names ='Sum([Sales by top Agents)]|Avg([%of Margin])'.
File Name
- The file name is a simple string of text or characters
NOTE: This feature only works on Qlik Sense Desktop as a limitation by Qlik. You can read about the limitation here on Qlik's website.
Export Format
- You can export to:
- Excel
- CSV
- TSV
Export State
- You can choose between 2 options:
- All Values
- Possible Values

Export Object Data
NOTE: This Export method is only for the Vizlib Button.
Export objects to Data only work with Master Items that you have created/added. To export an object's (A.K.A visualisation) data, select from the options in the property panel and then click on the Vizlib Button when in analysis mode.
You can reference any Master Item Visualization within the Qlik App. It does not have to be a chart that is on the page.

Pick Export Item
- When exporting using the Vizlib Button, you must choose a Master Item Visualization.
File Name
- The file name is a simple string of text or characters

Export Format

Export Object PDF
NOTE: This Export method is only for the Vizlib Button.

- A3 - Largest
- A4
- A5
- A6
- A7 - Smallest

Orientation
- The two choices are:
- Landscape
- Where the width of the page is longer than the height.
- Portrait
- Where the height of the page is longer than the width.
- Landscape
Aspect Ratio
- The two choices are:
- Fit To Page
- Will fit the object you are exporting to best fit the page size and orientation.
- Custom
- You can define the Width and Height of the object on the page.
- Fit To Page
File Name
- The file name is a simple string of text or characters

Export Object Image

- Define the pixel width of the visualization
Height
- Define the pixel height of the visualization

Export Sheet to PDF
NOTE: This Export method is only for the Vizlib Button.
Export Sheet to PDF is a simple method to export the current Qlik Sheet page to a PDF. The page will be rendered and then presented to the user based on the requirements set out in the property panel.
