KPI Text object's "Format as number" function cannot interpret values expressed in scientific notation

I have discovered that the VizLib KPI Designer's Text object's "Format as number" function does not correctly interpret numbers expressed using scientific notation e.g. when the result of the layer's Text expression is the number 125 trillion, the result of the expression rendered by the Qlik engine is "1.25e14", but VizLib then merely formats this to the user as '1.25' i.e. the 'e14' part is ignored; or if the result is 1e5, then this is formated as '1.5'!

I have found a workaround for this, which is to force Qlik to not use e-notation by wrapping the Text expression with num(<expression>,'0').
