Sheet menu side bar width

would there be any way to have the ability to create the side menu to be double the width so that it could handle 2 filter boxes side by side so that i can have more filters on the one bar rather than having to scroll up and down Or the ability to have multi stacked side menus, so in effect each side bar is independent of the other but so they look like 1. therefore allowing more filters in a smarter way. so it would like the attached (cropped together for illustrative purposes only).
