Sheet Menu - Automatic Slide Out When Clicked On Rest of Browser

The sheet menu gives you the possibility to slide in your selections. But in order to get them out of the screen, you need to click the same button (1 below here).

As often you see with other websites/programs, if you click anywhere else than the object (3 below here) the object disappears. I would like to have the same behavior to have a better users experience.

So steps are:

  1. Open your selections
  2. Select somewhere outside the object
  3. Selections are closed

  • Hi Jordy,

I am doing some backlog grooming of Feature requests and I have come across this.

Please could you explain a little more about the desired functionality?

  • Hi Jordy,

    Thank you for this reply.
I see how this could be needed. I will keep an eye on this ticket to see how it fits into the next roadmap planning session I have.

I am also analysing how this ticket is received by the community.

  • Hi Luke,

Addition to Jordy's request it would really nice if we have vaisulations resizes when we open the side panel instead of the side panel overlay on visualisations.

    Cheers,

    Raghav

  • Hi @Raghav

We do allow for you to have the Side menu permanently show. This has the above mentioned behaviour.

We won't support your proposed behaviour in this feature (if/when it gets released).

    - I would ask you to create your own Feature Request on the community.

    - If you do raise your own FR then we can continue the conversation there.

    Kind regards,

    Luke T
