TABLE OF CONTENTS

Target Mode

Target mode includes feedback on target fulfillment. This may include both color and icon. The target mode setting is found in Target --> Target mode Enabled section of the property panel. The comparison can be set to Relative or Absolute and the comparison type to More is better or Less is better depending on what illustration method fits your KPI illustration the best.

Trend

The trend of your customized Vzilib Simple KPI chart can be displayed in three different ways, as a Line, area or with bars. With the line selection comes the option to include data points shown as small dots reflecting specific values (Figure 2).

Target Trend

Enabling the Target trend includes the target values in the visualization and the user can then easily see difference between actual- and target values. The target trend can be visualized with the chart types:

  • Line
  • Area
  • Marker

Data points can still be shown when not choosing the marker chart type by checking the Show data points box.

Note on Export: If you've installed the Qlik Sense November 2020 release, charts have double line separators in the app, but single line separators if you export a story to a PDF (Figure 4).
